Dr Don Mathanga

Dr Mathanga is an infectious diseases epidemiologist who is currently an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Public Health and Director of the Malaria Alert Centre, a research unit within the College of Medicine. His current research interests are focused on understanding the risks associated with malaria and how various interventions affect child health in Malawi. Dr Mathanga is also interested in knowledge translation (he is an award winner of a Cochrane review) and currently supports the efforts of the South African Cochrane Centre to build knowledge translation capacity in sub Saharan Africa.
